Motos del Peru in Lima - recommended!
Motos del Peru is a great shop in the Surquillo area of Lima. We stayed at Backpackers-Hitchhikers Hostel in Miraflores, and the MDP is only about 5-7 minutes away by moto. They are a Suzuki dealer, but they did not hesitate to help us with our BMWs.
Felipe Miranda is one of the owners, and he was of great help to me rounding up spares and a tire, and he let me use one of the service bays for an entire day to change oil and do maintenance on both our F650s. Gonzalo is the lead mechanic, with 26 years experience, and he was able to wet-sand one of my wife's fork tubes where rocks had pitted it long ago under PO, and corrosion had started. So far the new seal is holding, fingers crossed.
I highly recommend you contact Felipe for service or parts, I did so in advance and he had things all arranged when we arrived in Lima. Felipe responded to an inquiry I sent out to the Lima HU community.
