7000 km in under 7 days
I thought its time to share my ride i Did in August.
With a CFMOTO 650NK i circumnavigated the Scandinavian peninsula
As close to the coast as possible. I started with a 1650 km drive and continued with an average of about 900km/day for another 6 days.
I cleared 7000 km in 6 days and 21h.
In January GoPro Will release a short timelapse of it all.

A perfectly fair question. However if you ask it you might not understand the answer.
This trip was obviously not a sightseeing trip but a challenge to test my personal limits, set a record and the roads in this regions are world class wich makes them the biggest sight/event for the rider. I got to spend 19 hours a day riding them.
Secondly i did this as a event for the motorcycle manufacturer and GoPro cameras. A short film will be released in January to entertain other enthusiasts.

I'm curious how your CFMOTO 650 did? Can you give us some details on its performance, maintenance and problems on your ride? Do CFMOTO have any plans to build an "Adventure" bike?
I've heard a bit about this bike .. never seen one in the flesh. I've heard CFMOTO have a good reputation in Australia and elsewhere .... also read about their recent partnership with KTM. (Some Bajai Auto (India) made KTM's (200 and 390) are assembled at CFMOTO in China for domestic sale.
Alan Cathcart interviewed the CEO of CFMOTO, discussed some details about the company. Seems to be a relatively small Chinese company that claim to go for quality over quantity ... a hopeful change to the usual "ALL PROFIT ALL THE TIME" mantra projected by most Chinese bike manufacturers (who mostly currently make CRAP by world standards )
Sometimes we just Ride for the Ride ... and no other reason. I'm OK with that. Very meditative.
Maybe CFMOTO could sponsor you to ride in the USA Iron Butt Rally? They ride about 14,000 miles in two weeks. (22K kms) Happens every other year.

Did you have any mechanical issues? There were a few guys who got the early production CF's on mychinamoto.com who did not have good luck with their bikes. They posted last year. There is an ongoing thread which I admit I have not read, but it has been going on for a while now

wow finally someone whos not misserable about what others do.
The bike did great acctually. I only modified the rear mirrors to get rid of the vibrations in them. I changed oil after 3000 km and thats all.
I would say its a fun, rapid and easy riden bike for day tours. A good beginners bike for a reasonable price. Performance wise it has got some juice and theres plenty more to get out of it with a aftermarket exhaust.
I met the Chinese chairmen recently and urged them to build a Adventure bike. its not part of their 2015 plan but they are building KTM:s dukes on their assembly lines as we speak just like you said.
What goes about the early issues with this bike ive learned those were all sorted out in the first series.
Australians are very picky and especially when it comes to asian products, ive also heard their more than happy with CF.
Ive driven their ATV 1200km through the Gobi desert and we only had to change a bearing and a mirror since i flipped it over.
Last summer i met the CEO and hes very down to earth and funny guy. They started in his garage in -89 and are very professional. Today more than 1200 people work for them and the quality testing procedures are as strict as for BMW and KTM. The cool thing about these guys is that the seem to have big plans for the future and they listen to their retailers. something the big dogs dont do these days.
Great idea about the IB rallye in the states, i do prefer adventure expeditions but i could do another long distance event.
Meanwhile im modifying my Honda xr650r so its ready for a longer journey next year.

No i had no issues at all, did a oil change after 3000km and thats it. As far as i know the early problems they had were sorted in the first year and were small issues like bad bearings etc. Its a well build bike and we must take into consideration its their first bike. They usually build ATV:s and UTV:s
Go testdrive one i think you would like them and the price is more than right.

I am glad to read it held up well. I have been riding Chinese enduros for a while now, but those are much lower cost and far simpler than the newer offerings from China. Zongshen has released a 250 adventure bike which has been getting a lot of attention, too. I am actually leaning towards that bike. CF Moto does not seem to have any dealers in the US, as far as bikes go. There was a guy in Alaska with one on mychinamoto and chinariders.net , so that might be the only dealer?

Monsler there does seem to be a misconception on your part, if you post a thread for tons of people to see and don't accept that someone may think that your ride sounds dreadful and a formula for hemorrhoid medication...
As far as the go pro HERO I guess the name says it all, you might as well glue the camera to the nose of a boeing...and calling your jaunt "the ultimate journey".. what would you call Scotto's trip then...?
Still think rides like that are pointless and don't fit my idea of travel, meet the locals, try their brews, slow down and have a sandwich by a lake
I did a ride around the scandinavian peninsula nearly 40 years ago, aged 19, only stopped when I ran out of money...had to move off the road in Finland to let small airplanes land..

What an incredibly rank comment to make on this site. The OP has clearly stated what his objectives were and why he was doing it: To push his personal boundaries and to test his machine. Good on him for getting out and raising enough interest in project and he has managed that most rare of motorcycling achievements and got sponsorship for his motorcycling.
Whereas driving slowly around a lake getting on the piss sounds a bit dull to me, whats the point of that? That doesn't fit my idea of travel, therefore I crap on it.
