Thanks for sharing your video. I went to the Arctic Circle from the Dempster highway but rode the Alaska Highway just as you did. It was great to see all the stops again and the beautiful North.
I'm on a world tour and will pass through NM in couple of weeks, before going for Mexico. Let me know if you like to have a or go for a ride.

Chris

Well done!

I and a pal tried to reach the Arctic Circle on motorbikes this year. But we were beaten by excessive flood waters at 66D 26.737M - just about 6 miles short of it!

This was a bit different to you, as we were trying to reach it in Asia.

My pal returned there later in the summer and got a mile or so further to then be beaten by deep soft mud - which was full of fresh tracks of wolves and bears!

Epic Tony ! what part of Asia ? I didn't see any wolves but lots of bear .... it made solo tent camping a real "thrill" ..

Mundo, Hi

Central and Eastern Russia. See Sibirsky Extreme

Our first attempt on the Circle is described in the Blog in July, Page 2 dated 5 July and Walter's solo in September, Page 2 dated 4 September (and that really WAS epic).

Good riding to you.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
