Don't give up
Having left the UK on March 25th for a RTW trip (first big adventure) Andrew and myself set of for Plymouth in the snow. We have travelled through Europe and North Africa including Algeria a must, worth getting the visa for its really nice as there is no tourism yet! You can see from our website and Facebook where we are heading J.A.B.A MUNDUS | Motorcycling Around The world.
The reason for this post is to say to people don't give up. My KTM 690 stopped a week ago today May 6th with the rocker arm bearing breaking up and damaging the top end. It was raining getting dark and we were somewhere in Bosnia! (This is the bikes 4th breakdown) Having towed the bike to a local hotel that looked closed, the guy came out and put the bikes undercover, found us a room.
When we came down for a he had already found a local motorbike shop, it's now 9pm and he has the owner on the phone. Ed the owner arrived at the hotel 8am in the morning with his van and took my bike to his shop in Mostar. Amazing.
Rallyraid UK / Tourque Racing shipped the parts the same day to Sarijavo un- believable help from these guys. It's now 13th May bike is in prices at M17 Moto and we are waiting customers clearance. Ed and his family have been amazing looking after Andrew and myself, whist chasing local customs.
When the parts will be here and we fit them I don't know. But what I do know is people are really kind out there and don't give up.
