MS Expedition
Staying in La Posta Hostel is a dream. It was recommended to us by lots of riders including Annaleen and Uli who we hosted in Vancouver on their way from Ushuia to Alaska.

It gave us time to try out all the places Wei suggested to eat. One of our favorites was Ramos Generales el Almacen, which is run by a French guy. The food and breads are amazing. We went there everyday! This is a submerino, which is hot liquor and hot milk that you drop the chocolate into.

Antarctica
The afternoon was spent checking out the penguins and then Zoziac touring the ice. There were so many crab eater seals on the fast ice (sea ice attached to the shore) it was amazing. We hiked to see the views of Mount Francais and viewed it thru the old observatory window.

Humpback whales
Today we say a ton on whales and then we visited the Ukrainian Vernadsky Base. Where they do research on the hole in the Ozone layer. They have the southernmost souvenir shop in the world and a fully functional bar. They brew their own hooch for 3$ a shot.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
