Honda C90 and Vespa to Morocco from UK

Thought you guys may be interested in this
A Long Lay Down: First we need some transport

UK - Spain - Portugal - Spain - Morocco and return on a
1974 Vespa Rally 200
and a
1990 Honda C90


Two friends decided to escape the winter in the UK in search of warmer a climate.
They found it rained quite a lot.

Did either of you do it on a CBT? Just wondering if there were any questions from insurers, or limits to where you could go. Cheers.

I (the Vespa) have a full bike licence
My friend passed his CBT about 2 weeks before we set off. No problems from the insurers.
Most insurers will give you european cover for 30 days as part of their policy.

Tip - Co-op is one of only a few insurers in the Uk who issues green cards.

For Morocco you need a green card but do not require a carnet.

I was told by my insurers to get insurance on the border. I would recommend getting it BEFORE you get to the border as you may have the same problems i had...At first I was refused entry because I had no insurance but managed to wangle it somehow. (At a cost of 5 euros)
Insurance is available once inside Morocco. I was quoted £100 for 1 month, £200 for 3 months 3rd Party only. Fully comp or fire & theft was not possible.

Be nice to see your pics and VERY FUNNY words here on this report rather than on a narrow column blog with tiny pics. I'm not a fan of blog formats.

Never did see the C90? all Vespa. I guess it was buried in there somewhere.
That's the beauty of posting your report here, it's all chronological, makes more sense, easy to follow.

You could just cut and paste text and drop in pics. Not that hard or time consuming. Pics here can be huge if you like, plus world wide viewing.

I must admit the blog format I've used is not as good as it could be. I never saw this site before I left and just choose the first blogging site I found.

Not many people seem to realise that on the column to the right, is found all the posts, in chronological order.

Some entries are entitled 'Photos'. (For the idle to look at without having to read anything). Click on the pictures for the full size version.

and I have the camera
and I have lots of time waiting for the C90 to catch me up,
I did take quite a few shots of the Vespa I must admit.
But what to do?!

I figure if people are really interested, then they would click on the link to investigate, find the beginning (easier said than done I agree) and read from there.

In the meantime, I'll find some time to cut and paste a few apertizers from the blog.
Where would be the best place to put it?

GGGRREEAAT way to travel. I went around Japan on a Suzuki Katana 400, and I would rate the Vespa experience as just as much fun, if not more!

ive not read it all as yet but look forward to reading about other vespa trips.
Coinsidently, my gear cable snapped today. Your blog from budapest just made me remember that again. Luckily for me i was right next door to the UK equivalent of;

168 vaci ut. Blue line metro to gyongyosi u. Station in direction of ujpest. Then walk back towards centre of town about 600m. It's on the right in a big courtyard complex of stores... Mechanic is way at the back in standalone grey shed, junked scooter by door
