Mount Pinnibar (Victoria, Australia) by DR-Z250
This is only the second time I've had the DR-Z in the dirt. I went with some mates from Tom Groggin campground to Mt Pinnibar. I was the only one on a bike, everyone else did it by 4WD.
My first river crossing... the mighty Murray a few hundred metres from where it begins. I made it across comfortably, and back again later a little less comfortably when the rear lost grip on the stones when turning upstream.
View from the top is great. Apparently it's the highest road in Australia and has true 360 degree views because there aren't many trees at the top.
Just starting the trip back down. At one point I was joined by two grey kangaroos, one of which was very large. They bounded along ahead of me like dolphins ahead of a boat and every time I'd stop to give them a chance to clear off down the track or go into the bush they'd stop and look at me as if waiting for me to catch up. They did this for 2-3 km before finally going into the bush.
Back at the campsite in one piece.
