Exclamation The Munch Bunch Boy's - World Tour

Hello Everyone,

Old Friends and New, I have an annoucement to proclaim to y'all.

My two friends and I are leaving the fine streets of Portsmouth, UK on July the 4th in an attempt to explore the globe on Motorbikes. We are going to the following countries;

England - Dover
Boat/Train
France - Calais
Belgium
Holland - Amsterdam
Germany
Austria - Bad Ischl
Slovenia
Croatia -
Hungary - Siofok, Budapest
Romania - Bran Castle, Bucarest
Ukraine - Odesa, Mariupol
Russia - Volgograd
Kazakhstan - Pavlodan
Russia - Tashanta
Mongolia - Ulaanbaatar
Russia - Irkutsk, Vladivostok -
Boat/Plane
South Korea - Sokcho, Seoul
Plane
Canada - Vancouver -
U.S.A - Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, California,
Arizona - Route not definite
Mexico - Chihauhau, Mexico City
Guatemala - Guatemala City -
El Salvador - Sans Salvador
Honduras
Nicaragua - Managua -
Costa Rica - San Jose -
Panama - Panama City
Plane
Columbia - Bogotá -
Ecuador - Quito
Peru - Lima, Cuzco
Chile - Santiago
Argentina - Tolhuin, Buenos Aires - ((31957km))

Now the trip we think will take around 9 months and we will be going places that will be extremely difficult to ride, thus why we are taking Yamaha XT600E.

We will be uploading video blogs to this Youtube channel: YouTube - MunchBunchTravels's Channel So if you are interested please subscribe and show your support. There is currently 4 videos about the tour up already. x

We are also trying to raise money for the RSPCA whilst we go so if anyone is feeling generous you can donate at our website: The Boys World Tour This site is currently in progress so sorry if it looks poo.

In addition we have a facebook group if you want to get to know us a little more. xx The Boys World Tour 2010 | Facebook

Sounds like a great trip, just not too convinced with your distances and time scales though! Just try not to rush it and you'll have a great time. Don't forget you can always get a sailboat between Panama and Colombia rather than flying and its usually an adventure in itself.

There was a thread on here recently on it so I'd check that. I did it 3 years ago and it was $275 each plus same again for the bikes but we wanted to keep it all ground based so to speak. I seem to remember it wasn't much different to the flying. If there's 3 of you though, that'll limit what boat you can take. Prob the German Steel Rat would be best if its still going.

We will definitely look into that when we are over there, the more scenic route sounds good, but as I said by that point every penny will count big time!

Any body know of any place where you can work for cash around the areas we are going, ie Fruit picking or so on....

Hey everyone. Well we are doing great so far. Currently in Altay in Mogolia and heading into the mountains for a few weeks before we hit Ulan Bartaar. Not many problems with our bikes yet. The occasional puncture and my solonoid is completely gone so I am hot wiring it to start every day.

Roads are amazingly bad but thats all the fun of the game

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
