World trip starts in 2 weeks!
Hi everyone!
I'm a bit out of the loop with posting on here, but just sharing that its only 2 weeks till my partner and I set off on our adventure - can't believe its nearly time to leave after so long planning!
Our timeline and routes are set for two years of travelling. We know problems might arise which cut that short, but there’s only so much planning you can do!
Anyway I wrote a blog about our prep on our website, if anyone would like a read: http://www.rideunlimited.co.uk/home/...er-preparation

Nice.
But if at all possible, I recommend you do not side-skip Indonesia by shipping direct from Singapore to Australia.
You won’t regret it if you island hop across Indo .. although an issue might be, that you really need to set-aside at least three months out of of your 2-year timeframe (including potential shipping hassles from Dili, Timor Leste ~~>to Darwin NT, Aus) to give the archipelago the justice it deserves.
Safe travels

Thanks for this Keith1954, once we get to Magadan our trip can slow down quite a bit so will take time to explore this area for sure!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
