Smile www.Ride-of-Change-2008.de YES WE CAN !

Dear Bikerfriends of the HU Hubb -

after safely returning back home by the end of October 2008 we very happily now only find the time to tell you some marvellous stories -
  • Of riding 50000 kms east out of Germany in May 2008
  • of meeting the most fabulous people and BIKERS all around the globe
  • from Czech to Slovakia, from Hungary to Romania, from Maldavia to Ukraine, from Russia to Kasachstan, from Siberia, to Mongolia, from Far east to South Korea -
  • from all over Alaska down the Canadian Rockies, from the American Westcoast rolling down the good times in New Orleans , up the final 500 miles through the Apalache mountains into the BIG Apple - New York at the end of october !

  • Feel free to share some of the finest human encounters as much as some of the most unbelievable bikerstories. It´s from a 10000 miles helping Russian network to trees taking you off your bikes in a storm, its floodings and riots in Mongolia, it´s about a 79 year old German travelling the 2000km Amur Highway on its own with a broken ankle, it´s about the wildest russian bikerparties, it´s about a highjacked Russian Dnjepr and it´s about meeting Count Dracula or camping next with a bear, it´s about endangering the Statue of liberty with a pocket knife and a 96 and 94 year old stunning and wonderful old couple in New York. It´s about the people.
  • It´s about travelling, it´s about life.
  • And it is a big Thank You for everybody -
    • all who helped us along the road
    • and all those who entrusted us with their dreams on the backseat of our bikes ...
...to take them with us around the world !

Enjoy some pics and stories - and plaese be a bit patient with me updating more pics and galleries and translating the Blog more and more into a bilangual German and English one ( it actually IS English from Alaska onwards) The European and Asian part gets added late at nite after my hospital work and my ongoing after hour studies

Enjoy and contact me anytime for more detailed informations.

Russian women ......

....are just as beautiful as the soul and the heart of the people we met all along the way . And as great as ABSOLUTELY ALL people and especially the bikers were (and still are ) along that trip of a lifetime. The Russian women were by far the most stunning beauties ...sorry I have to say that .
But whenever you cross Russia in summer -
keep concentrated on the TRAFFIC around you - if you CAN

Dear Friends from the HUBB -

it´s a rainy day in Germany - yet yesterday quite some bikes were back to hit the spring roads of Germany - while I have to sit and prepare for my exams.....*sigh*

Yet I have pit up some new pics in the blog and added a newly translator into English -German-Russian and vice versa, that I found to work more accurate than the one before. At least til I fully find the time to do all the translational work after my exams.

So far to get more and fullsized pics you may have to choose the link to the BLOG via the homepage - which you find here ...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
