Argentina: BA to Torres del Paine via Ruta 40 in March+April
Hi Guys,
I'm going to Argentina in mid of march starting my trip in buenos aires.
My actual plan is to head south towards Torres del Paine NP in Chile via Mendoza and Ruta 40.
I thought about to get a motorcycle but I'm a bit concerned about the distances and especially the weather conditions at that time of the year.
So what do you guys think, is it possible to get down to torres del paine in like 45 days? I'd like to continue my trip while heading back north to Santiago de Chile afterwards.
So what do I have to expect regarding the weather conditions?
Thanks for any advice or hint,
Mike

Hi Cleland,
thanks for your reply. I did fill in my profile in the meantime. Sorry, that was my first post after just reading a lot - so I missed to do that.
Well, I already checked distances and weather on different sites and I know that all theoretically. But I hoped to get some infos of somebody who has experienced such a trip during the same time of the year and if it is a good Idea to do that trip on a motorbike in that time.
Or how far south could/should I go without getting to cold
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Cleland,
thanks for the datails! That was some information I was looking for. It is really hard to imagine those things if you have never been to the country you want to travel to.
But I think that gives me a first idea of what to expect.
Thanks a lot,
Mike
