1 WEEK SOUTH AMERICA- Where to go???
Hello bikers!!!!
I'm planning to do a quick, 1 week-10 days jaunt around somewhere in south america, just by flying out and renting a bike somewhere.
Does anyone have any tips of where to go for that kind of time period?
Any tips greatly appreciated.
By demand, a little more depth- This would be a trip in early-mid March next year. I would be looking to do terrain that's manageable on a bike that's not too expensive to rent, something like a 250cc.
I'm looking for a place with (mostly) paved, curving roads that's just great to motor through to take in scenery, not too worried about going specifically to see sites, ruins, etc, or dirt roads. (although some would be fun)
A big concern is how good the roads would be in weather, as in such a small time getting stuck in road-slurry can take up a large portion of what should be riding time! Would the weather be fairly dry in early-mid March in places like Peru or Columbia?
Columbia sounds great quastdog- where did you go exactly?
I've done trips similar to this in India and Vietnam, just one-week excursions, it's a fair bit to organize for a short time scale but well worth it.
Thanks for everything so far, been looking up some flights and doing some more research, the Northern part of the South American continent would be better re cost coming from the US.
Further tips still greatly appreciated!
