Cheapest Crossing Anyone??
Folks
I'll be going to mainland Europe again this year. Coming from Northern Ireland I usually go Rosslare - Roscoff/Cherbourg in Brittany but this year I reckon it's much too expensive at £450 return for me and the bike and want to find something much cheaper. Therefore it looks like Ireland to UK then head south and cross to France.
I don't fancy going to Dover though as I came back that way last year and it was a horrible journey to Holyhead in the rain. I'm also gonna be doing lots of riding when I get to the other side and would prefer to do as little as possible in the UK, and would much prefer to go to one of the southern ports like Portsmouth/Plymouth/Southampton or anywhere else in that kinda region. Any French port will do.
Are there any routes that are well known to be cheaper than others? And does anyone know of any discount codes that can be used to reduce the cost further? I know MCI Tours have a 10% off code but I believe thats only for Dover crossings. There seem to be too many options and to check them all out 1 by 1 will take me forever.
Many Thanks
Chris
