Good stuff, thanks Yoni!
Did the bikers go on the boat with their bikes, or did they have to go another way?
Ciao,
Peter.

Peter
They went by air to save time. At Rosenfeld they told me ship can carry passengers too.

Try http://www.grimaldi-freightercruises...nd/euromed.htm
But notice all the restrictions, which may make it impractical.

We are leaving within the next 2 weeks, I hope. But, we are going North.
Somehow during this discussion people seem to have assumed we'd be going to Israel any time soon. This is not the case. If we did, the rest of our trip (through Syria, Turkey, Iran and further East would no longer be possible.
I was merely asking questions trying to get info for other travellers who want to go. "Ferries to Israel" is a FAQ here...
Thanks to all for your contributions. I'm sure some travellers will make good use of it.
See you in Ripley!

I checked with the following cargo ferry and they said that a ro/ro cargo ferry leaves Hafia on mondays and thursdays.
Deaptures from Haifa up today every Monday and Thursday / embarkation time 1500
price per person 215 Euro + 25 USD
for the motorbike 230 Euro + 50 USD
The price per peron in a cabine with all meals include one way.

There is a weekly ferry from Cyprus to Haifa.
, there used to be a regular ferry from Athens too, have you checked that?

I plan on going from Denmark to Israel on my Honda NX 650. How do I do that? Seems like there are no regular ferries to Israel, and I guess it´s quite impossible to go through Syria or lebanon.
Would it be possible to sail to Egypt from Greece og Italy? And then reach Israel via Sinai?
Answers much appreciated.
