First tour any advise welcome
Hey all, Im about to embark on a ride with a friend up to Assen for the Moto GP at the end of the month. On the Sunday instead of comming home to old blighty we are gonna head off into Germany and down into Switzerland. this is the first trip either of us have done and we have picked the perfect bikes to do it on. Im on a 2005 ZX10R and my friend is on a 2007 GSXR750
Any advise is welcome unless its about our choice of cruisers
Cheers
Stu

Just go
Just do it Stu is the overall advice - I've done similar continental European tours on a Blackbird and the only thing I fitted, other than the luggage, was bar raisers which brought them up by a whole 19mm. I could tell the difference, but it was not a great one. Oh, I had a double bubble screen as well - very useful when you get above, say, 100 MPH on the autobahns.
Dave
ps You will come across loads of continentel riders and most of them will acknowledge you in one way or another + there is loads of advice in the threads on here if you need more - do a search for whatever words interest you.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
