Hi, I'm going to go down West Africa in March 2010 and would sure appreciate those waypoints.
My eMail is eljuliano at gmail . com
Have you thought of uploading them to a filesharing service like drop.io or mediafire.com? I have some webspace I could put them on too. You wouldn't have to eMail them every time.
Anyway, thanks a lot, Julian

Tom
You can find camp sites for Zambia and numerous other countries in Ulrich's excellent zip file here:
They are in both Google Earth & MapSource formats.
I've e-mailed you Zambia, Angola & DRC in gpx format as a sample of Ulrich's efforts. If you want them in kml format for Google Earth, just download the file.
Meanwhile, I'd recommend you alter your e-mail address [Tomwesterlund AT yahoo DOT com] to avoid becoming a spam victim.
Best wishes and happy travels.
Stephan

Hi..
I am planning my BigTripHome, riding from Melbourne through South East Asia and China to India. I have only just started at dong my research so any help that you can provide shall be awesome.
I have been told that taking one's own bike into China can be a bit hard, but i havent done much research on this - but feel this should be possible.
I hope to travel from Darwin to Indonesia, and the ride north to Medan and take ferry to Malaysia. Through to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam before entering into China.
Then into Nepal and finally into India.
Aaaah, the day will finally come when I finally set off.
Thanks,
BigTripHome

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
