Hotels in Paris

Hi, My name is Troy and i have traveled on my r100gs quite extensively, but now going to brave the city of Paris. I am looking for advice on accomodation there and if anybody knows anyone there as i am doing a trip through to Italy (Rome) and back to the UK. I wll be going around the 22-25 of this month.

Thank you

I don't know whether you'd get in now because it's popular, but try MIJE. Their hostels are in beautiful old mansion houses in the heart of Paris. Very reasonable rates when I have stayed in them.

If you've got a tent there is a campsite in the Bois de Boulogne.

Tour de France finishes in Paris on the 29th. of July which, even if you aren't into cycling, has got to be worth experiencing if you can change your dates slightly that is.

Or, also on the hotel chain front, Ibis have loads of hotels in Paris, reasonably priced, all will have an en suite bathroom and some should have parking.
Ibis Hotels: book a hotel online for a business trip or a vacation
Also Campanile although usually slightly out of town, similar price to Ibis with own bathroom and normally with secure parking plus the added bonus for English folk is that each room comes with a kettle, little milk cartons and tea bags. And even a few little packets of biscuits as well.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
