Mongolia to Pakistan, but Iran, Afghanistan and China!

Firstly ill be riding from the UK with my UK motorbike and passport on my first motorcycle adventure to Mongolia.
But i would also like to continue from there, back track a bit and take in Pakistan, then India and SE Asia.
My research is telling me for China I would need an expensive guide / escort,
Iran as a Brit is a no with my own bike plus would need a guide,
And crossing Afghanistan doesnt seem to be a thing!

Can anyone point me towards some good solutions / ideas.

Cheers
Phil.

The best solution is probably to keep an eye on or advertise here for other people wanting to team up and share the cost of the guide across the corner of China that goes to Pakistan and plan your trip around that. There are a couple of threads about flying bike and rider from Central Asia to India but I am not sure that is any easier or cheaper.

Probably the most fun and cheap way is to go from Mongolia back into Russia and down into Kazakhstan, Kyrgystand and possibly Tajikistan, to make a shorter route through China into Pakistan.
You will still have to pay and organize through China but it will be much less.
However, you cannot do that anytime of the year.

I'm planning a similar trip and would be great if I can find travellers wanting to cross from Bulgan(Mongolia)-Takashiken(China) border. I will be starting from Frankfurt, end of march and want to enter china end of June.
I have asked a few companies but it will be expensive and takes 10-12 days. If we are at least 5 people then it will be a great option otherwise I will travel back to Kyrgyzstan and enter china from there. If you are interested send me a PM.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
