Morocco for a week (4wd) - what 3 bits of advice would you give?
Am a 4wd bloke (but don't judge me - had a Honda Melody as a kid and then an AR50 if that cuts any ice) and thinking about p*ssing off to Morocco for a weeks off-roading over the next 2 months (might take young family (wife and 3 girls aged 3, 6 and 8), a mate or go on my own). Reckon I will have 9 days start to end so bargaining on 2 days to get there (from London) and 2 days to get back and 5 in the middle. Have been seriously guilty of over-planning in the past which actually does take a lot of the shine off a trip. So decided that I will get a map (the one Tim Cullis somewhere else on this forum suggested) and go now that I know there's no visa/carnet de passage requirements. Enjoy really decent off-roading, scenic stuff, sand etc but am very flexible (and it's just one vehicle albeit have food and water galore, EPIRB, sat-phone etc).
So, if you've been there and with this in mind, what would be the 3 best bits of advice you would give me that doesn't include "take more time" because without snatched bits like this I'd end up with nothing. Much appreciate your time people.
