Hello to everyone

Three friends and I are going on a trip to Andalucia at the end of November.

The trip is really an exploration of the area rather than travelling to the area as the bikes are going to be delivered to Almeria by truck and we are going to fly down to Almeria.
This may seem like a cheat considering some of the trips that ive been reading about on this site and others but we have to start somewhere, and the idea is that rather than tearing about the countryside we make an adventure of the Trip – crossing the Sierra Nevada off road and the like.
The bikes are enduro off road bikes – KTM LC4 400 – XR 400 – DRZ 350 – WR 250F and are full equipped with large tanks, GPS, tyres etc and we are all capable riders..

What we want to do is fully explore the area off road including Sierra Nevada – Gador – Alhamilla – Filabres – Estancias. We will start from Mojacar ( north east of Almeria) and can move our base as we need to.

What I am searching for are people who have been to the area, recommended routes, particularly hotels or campsites anywhere east of Granada to the coast.

Will the area be cold at that time of year ( obviously the higher we go the colder it will get ) are there any do’s and dont’s and are there any festivals or must see places while we are down there .

Sierra nevada ia a "Parque Natural", off road driving is not permited.

I was referring to Sierra Nevada only, the other places he mentions should be ok.

Thanks for your advice - obviously we don't want to ride in areas that are off limits such as national parks - does anyone know what the laws are regarding off road riding in Spain

How did you get on ? parents live near Malaga. I've just got back, didn't have a bike with me... pity great weather at the coast - apart from the regular mountain roads did you find interesting off road routes....
