Paris to Bangkok in 2022. What route?
Is anyone currently overlanding from Europe to SE Asia?
Paris - Bangkok is in my head. Can you talk me out of it?
Been riding for a few years. In love with it.
I have time... I'm okay if it takes longer. Just don't recommend me to go the other way around ;-)
Am I crazy?
Been browsing this forum forever, inspiring stuff. Recently rode Northern Thailand on a CRF250.
Feel free to share valuable insights, or recommend me a good doctor

No doctor required!
But which route - what excites YOU?! Not someone else's idea of the route that excites THEM!
YOU are the one that decides - so give us an idea of what you think is the route for YOU - then we can tell you the good and the bad of that route and suggest alternates - and you always want alternates.

If you manage to get to Thailand and your passing through the North East, Chum Phae area then message me through the forum and I am sure we can offer you some local grub and a coffee etc.
I will be home early Sept, and hopefully going to the MotoGp in Buriram, 30 Sept till 03 Oct. Otherwise I should be about.

I guess the «southern route» through Iran-Pakistan-India-Myanmar-Thailand (and whatever you want before Iran) makes most sense these days. Myanmar borders are still closed and nobody knows when they will open so shipping from India to Thailand might be neccesary.
The «northern route» through Russia-Stans-China seeems more difficult nowadays and Chinas borders also closed for a long time.

Hello everyone,
I also have this project (Paris - Bangkok) for a departure at the beginning of February 2023.
I was thinking of going through Turkey - Iran - Pakistan - India.
Do you have an idea for the passage between India and Thailand?
Is there maybe a cargo that can load us between the two countries? Or another low cost idea?
Thank you for your help!
See you soon on the road

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
