planning trip "uk to aus via thailand & japan"
Hi there only just found this site today me and 2 mates are trying to plan a offroad excusion of a lifetime (well for us at least)
We want to ride our enduro bikes from the uk through europe into the middle east (via Russia possibly) then down into china, over to japan back accross to thailand, through indonesia all the way to Australia. We would like as much info as possible.we reckon it should take us approx 2years? Any help at all would be great. cheers Dave.

Hi Dave,
Welcome to Horizons Unlimited!
You'll find virtually everything you could want to know here, but you're going to have to do a little looking around. The amount of info you've asked for would fill a book - or - this website!
You'll find everyone is very willing to help, but you have to do the first steps yourself - do a lot of reading and browsing around the site, then when you have a specific question that someone can answer without writing a book, ask away!
Your trip or variations on it have been done many times, so there is lots of knowledge available.
Read the travellers stories - link on left - there's lots of info there, also see the links pages for links to off-site travellers stories. Also of course the e-zine is a treasure chest of information!
Have fun preparing and planning, and keep us posted!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
