Suggestions on a route from south of France to Cherbourg
Hi everyone!
I am currently on the south coast of France and will be in Carcassonne tomorrow. I am looking for suggestions on a good route to take all the way back to Cherbourg where I will catch my ferry to Ireland on the 24th this month. I am on an old R1 and also favour easy going roads which are interesting with preferably stops at nice small towns. I am camping so not worried about accommodation such as hotels.
All suggestions welcome,
Thanks in advance!

Depending how much distance you want to cover per day, you could do down to the Pyrenees (now's the right time to be there, lol) then up the western coast (some nice roads there, I'm told), a dabble in Bretagne and La Hague if there's time, and you're there.

Thanks for the reply ! I’m looking to spend 3 - 5 hours a day on the bike in total with stops in between. Not looking for anything too strenuous given the bike I’m riding haha. With regards to the Pyrenees, any roads in particular ? As a rough idea I was thinking of going down the Pyrenees towards San Sebastián and then from there finding a nice route back where I can stop at the odd small town.
Thank you!
