Help planning honeymoon tour through southern British Columbia
Hey, I'm brand new here—thanks for having me! Please let me know if I've missed other threads on this topic or if I'm missing any newcomer etiquette.
My partner and I are planning a July honeymoon adventure, departing from our home on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound. We're planning a four- to five-day ride through the Okanogan and back through Southern BC. We will likely start by shooting over the North Cascades to Winthrop on the first day (fire conditions permitting), then over Loup Loup Pass and the border at Oroville/Osoyoos on morning 2.
Where to next? Bonus points for scenic routes, twisty bits, safe/quality road conditions, and good towns to stop for a meal or a sleep.
Would you go West toward Hope or North toward Kelowna? What roads or stops should we make sure not to miss? What should we know about riding in BC?
We're on an RS660 and a Tuono 660 and have a sporty riding style. We'll be traveling light, riding not more than five or six hours a day, and looking for motels/airbnbs each night.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
