Where to stay between Cartagena and Medellin?

Hi All,

We are going to be Cartagena 23rd November and want to ride to Medellin after couple days. The distance is 636 km and google maps gives almost 12 hours of ride.

Is there any place that we can stay between Cartagena and Medellin?

We are on one bike and 2 up.

Thanks All,

Onur

Honda

Not sure your route. There are two highways that go to Medillin. On 45A we stopped in Honda at the Hotel Boutique Posada Las Trampas. Nice hotel. Not much in town. Be sure to stop at the Salt Church on the way.

We stayed in a small hotel just south of planeta rica. I was able to talk the cleaning staff into washing my bike for me. Even though the bike was covered on the Stahlratte I was still worried about the salt.

Thanks a lot...We go to Salt Cathedral but we want to go Medellin first, than go east to a canyon, than go south to Bogota (see salt cathedral) than again west for coffee regions and south to Cali and border...

Stayed at same hotel. I will suggest anyone doing same route. There are couple options after Planeta Rica between Caucasia. There is also one good hotel, restaurant before Taraza on the left side.
Thanks a lot...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
