Arizona - Rancho Los Rosales

Overlanders,
Welcome all ye of the Hubb, the Spy Bar is open (BYOB) especially for you Brits who wanted to remain.
Rosa del desierto and I are at our ranch in Flagstaff, Arizona private message for telephone and directions. We are about 90 miles south of the Grand Canyon on old Route 66.

Courtesy overnight beds or camping and parking by calling ahead.

Flagstaff is an interesting southwestern town, coyboys and cowgirls, ancient ruins, the Navajo and Hopi nations, great country music and dance and of course the world famous Spy Bar at Rancho Los Rosales.

Red face Harleys Coming!

xflitrate, I'll be participating in a Harley Owners group ride that will bring about 400 Harleys to Flagstaff on Sept 12th and 13th. Do you have room?
Just kidding. Thought I would warn you in case you want to get out of town before then!

No worries mate

Thanks for the "flatheads up" by the time the roaming hoards arrive,

Chamalu, a Bolivian Shaman
https://chamalu.com/en/

and some of his followers will be visiting the ranch. Rosa del desierto and I have translated one of Chamalu's many books spanish to english. With our Sharman on board, 500 Harley riders would not bother me.

If they show up it might be a mild sequel to Hunter S. Thompson and Ken Kesey's famous té a té with the Hells Angels, minus the LSD - yep, those two were the bad boys who introducd the Hells Angels to LSD. What were they thinking?
Top 10 Quotes from Hunter S. Thompson's 'Hell's Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga' - Harley Davidson Forums

Drugs are not permitted at Rancho Los Rosales, but Harley's are - go figue?
We will be riding out of Dodge - to Buenos Aires, Argentina toward the end of september.
Could you mention to the Harley owners we have a motorcyle parking business in Buenos Aires, Argentina ? See our ad on Horizonsunlimited.com thanks

“In a nation of frightened dullards there is a sorry shortage of outlaws, and those few who make the grade are always welcome.”

You'll come, Rancho Rosales has an interesting history - having welcomed home more than 800 returned Peace Corps Volunteers over a 12 year period as a 501(c)(3) NGO and served as a safe house for many Former Soviets immigrating to the United States.

We have also hosted hundreds of cross country travelers via our Airbnb.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
