The garden is just mindblowing, and the bungalows are super nice with front porches, open air bathrooms and some artistic touches. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price 80 000 Rp (for the bungalow) included breakfast. One of the best value places we’ve stayed in Indonesia!

It must be the place with the friendliest welcome in Indonesia. The rooms are plain but clean with A/C. The huge upstairs rooms (with four beds) cost 180 000 Rp and are pretty noisy because of the traffic. The downstairs smaller rooms (with shared hot water bathroom) are quiet, and cost 115 000 Rp.
THE SAFEST PARKING YOU WILL EVER FIND – IN THE LOCKED GARAGE (YOU GET THE KEY!) WHICH IS IN A LOCKED GARDEN.

Berastagi
Wisma Sibayak
N3 11.292

The room was really noisy because of the traffic, but otherwise clean and the service was friendly. We paid 100 000 Rp but there were cheaper rooms (with shared bathroom) available. Using the hot shower costs extra.
SAFE PARKING IN THE COMPOUND.

****please note the prices might reflect the LOW season (we travelled end of 2009)****

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
