Columbia Cali

As an alternative to Casa Blanca,( it was full) we found the Hostal Iguana round the corner, great rooms, private bathroom, hot shower, cheap s and a great view and very safe parking.

Casablanca

Hi,

I stayed at Hostal Casablanca for about 10 days and had a great time. The hostel is run by Mike (HUBB member) and his wife Diana – both very friendly & helpful people, including all members of staff.
Free bike parking when you stay in the hostel. Good long term parking as well – I left mine for 30 days/US$50.

Quiet place with a nice atmosphere, all very clean, with double rooms and 4 bed/10 bed dorms (1 dorm room has air-con). Safe residential area. Huge Supermarket 2 blocks, 'Homebase' builders market 2 blocks, cinema 4 blocks,
Hostel has the best-equipped kitchen I've seen in a very long time... (even got a juicer... bring on the smoothies
Cold/safe drinking water from the fridge dispenser (with built-in ice-machine!), and free coffee all day.

Good bike mechanic next door (guy called Santiago), who's been very helpful and thorough, all for a very good price.

Altogether a really nice spot for a stop-over & highly recommended for longer stays if you want some time off the bike to recharge the 'travel-batteries'.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
