starting at 7 Dollar pP. Great double rooms, fireplace, restaurant. Camping for 2 $ pP possible. Great view. safe parking guarded by 6 large dogs

In town Otavalo

Double for 14 Dollar. Very nice. Fireplace. Right parallel to the mercado. safe bike parking. shared and private bath

Cotopaxi. U have to pay 10 Dollar park fee, but then u can drive the dirt road all the way up to the Refugio. Just the last 300m are a little more difficult. U can camp everywhere there, but there are also campgrounds in the park. 10 Dollar pP in the Refugio. Its worth it, but be aware, camping is on 4000m, refugio on 4800m

if u want a really nice relaxing place in town: Hostal Villa Santa Clara. Double starting at 14$ (7 p.P.), but it is really, really nice. private clean bathroom. bargaining possible. Triple available

Riobamba
Hotel Tren Dorado (right by the train station). Garage under Hotel. nice double or triples, about 8 $ pP. Very nice and friendly. private bath

Salinas near Guaranda
great town, take the factory tour.

4,75 Dollar pP. Cheap, clean. safe Parking at sister Hotel Hostal Pichincha (but that costs 24 Dollars for double room).

safe parking, dorm 8 Dollar
little expensive but great food, incredible view and directly on the road to the border.
