Smile Panama - Puerto Lindo - ship bikes to Colombia or panama

The Hostel Wunderbar, puerto lindo. North from Panama City to Sabanitas, turn right at the REY shop. Follow that road around 30km. just before the puerto lindo yacht club, turn sharp left into the hostel. Silvia and Guido are great. They can sort out getting you and the bike on a decent boat to Cartagena, with there captains connections. The hostel is cheap and perfect for this raw, paradise. The beds are comfy and set in a kuna designed dorm. Breakfast and coffee set up. If you are heading to Panama from Colombia just email silvia from their website. Backpacker Hostel Wunderbar - Home . she can sort out your boat and give you the convenient place to stay as soon as you land in panama. If you do stay here, you must go to the restaraunt on the bay run by Hans and eat the octapus in their secret sauce ! ... loved it here !

Sounds great siggsy. Colon is dangerous and Carti difficult to get to - great alternative.

Carti

Carti is one turn off the Panamericana and leads to where you get on the Stahlratte. Having tried other boats, this is the ONLY ship and captain (Lulu) that I have trusted for several trips with my bikes. I even went with them to Cuba from Cartagena.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
