Hi Bunny Punnia
We are from Russia.
We want travel from Mumbai to Delhi
3 jan(mumbai) to 14 jan(delhi)
Can anyone recommend any Enfield or other moto dealers/mechanics etc or suggest the location of Mumbai(Bombay), in either Bombay or Goa. Every city has a street where all the shops selling the same stuff are located.
Want to rent a bike or possibly buy a bike with a guaranateed buyback(better). Where do other travellers sell their bikes?
We will be in Mumbai 3 jan 2005 - 2 man & 1 women
Thanks

Big bike tyres in India
Hi,
I realise this is an old thread but I'll put my experience here. We could not find tyres in India, 140/80 17 and 150/70 18, in July 2014. Apparently a few years back the Indian government changed the law and now tyres sold in India must be approved (INSS) which I'm told is a costly exercise so if the market is small for the big Adventure type bike tyres nobody will spend the money to import the tyres and get them approved.
I ended up getting tyres sent to Delhi from ZenOverland in the UK. It cost quite a bit in freight and duty but at least we got the right tyres for our bikes. ZenOverland did a great job getting the tyres to us in under a week. I would recommend them if you need tyres to be sent overseas.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
