Affordable long(very long) term parking in Medellin or Cartagena

Hello All,

Anyone knows of a business that offers a long lerm (monthly basis) parking for a motorcycle. I would possibly want a full year of parking and at the very least many months of parking.

Looking for affordable and secure.

note: I would require no assistance for paperwork.

jfman,

If all else fails, there is a business between the border of Colombia and Venezuela where you can store your bike for cheap. I don't know the prices, but recall that it is reasonable. A guy I rode with years back stored his bike there and mentioned that there are two prices, one for covered and a cheaper rate for uncover (out in the open air.)

The storage business between countries at the Paraguachón, Maicao, La Guajira
Colombia crossing.

Currently you can't bring a vehicle from Venezuela into Colombia, so you'll want to make sure you don't run into an issue down the road when trying to bring the bike from in-between countries back into Colombia.

Given the state of affairs, I would not try this option right now.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
