Bike Rental in Brazil or Colombia . .Any info???
I a have been searching for a company that rents bikes in either Brazil or Colombia but have been unsuccessful so far. Only guided tours which I am uninterested in. I only have a month and from my last 2 trips to chile and Argentina, it seems that purchasing is not practical. If anybody has any info on renting in either Brazil or Colombia, I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Robert

Bike rentals
I seriously doubt if you will find bike rentals in Brasil. I have been comming to Brasil for the last 10 years and have never encountered a rental business.
I found it was easier to purchase and ride the heck out of it for 3 months and then sell it. Bikes or cars depreciate very little, especially if you pick up something one year old.
After I decided to spend most of my retirement in Brasil I purchased a 450 Honda, racked up 65,000 very hard KMs and sold it 4 years later for only a couple of hundred dollars less than what I paid for it in the first place.

Well I'm seriously considering starting bike rental business here in Colombia. I brought my Aprilia EVT1000 CapoNord back down after finishing south- and central America and crossing the states and I have been looking at getting a KTM Adventure here as well.
I would love to hear if more people would be interest in renting adv bikes in Colombia...??? ;-)
I´m based in Cali, Colombia where I now run a hostel for adventures souls and there are also some potential for setting up enduro/offroad tours in the nearby mountains and valley.
