dented cabin near Santiago, Chile....
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I usually post asking about help dog-sitting, or biking in game parks in Uganda. My cabin overlooking the ocean was a casualty of that storm a week ago and I've got open wounds in my roof! OUCH! Many of the local carpenters are busy and I thought before I commit, I'd see if there's any 'experienced' folks in the area? (I'd need to know asap.) I can pay, just not US/EURO standards....

Thanks for all the private messages of support! But really, is there no one in the area who wants to make some $$$'s?

I know you prefer the HUBB but if you're stuck try Workaway.info or helpx.net - good luck!

RidetheWorld, I posted on workaway but specified someone with experience because most at that site are 'kids'. NICE kids but... ;-)
Billkid, I'll be in Africa in January, woohoooooo!
Bertrand, surely you jest... ;-)
I've got two people coming tomorrow/Saturday! Woohooo! Moto community stars again.

Sorry to hear about the damage. There are a bunch of us headed down your way in October and we can try to help when we get down there but unfortunately are not able to provide immediate assistance. Best wishes.

Taos Traveler, it's almost all finished now, but mi casa es su casa when you're in the area IF I'm still here. Hoping to leave mid-October for the South Africa HU meet.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
