Honda xr250 for sale start of March in Santiago, Chile
Hi all,
I have an Honda xr250 complete with luggage rack and panniers that I would like to sell in Santiago around the 10th of March.
The bike is 2012 and currently has 40,000km on it, however, it had a full rebuild 3000km ago. The bike is Peruvian registered and is registered in my name.
I guess the question I have is if anyone knows if it is possible to sell a Peruvian bike in Chile? I have read many conflicting threads as to whether this is possible. I have read that you can go to a notary and have permission granted to the new owner but I assume then we owner will eventually need to go to Peru and have it put in their name. I guess this would involve going to Lima and getting a special permission stamped in their passport which allows them to sign contracts in Peru (I had to do this to get ownership of the bike)
I also have all my riding gear, jacket, pants, boots, helmet that I may consider selling too - including a garmin gps at the right price!
Thanks, any help would be much appreciated - especially from people who have done similar things, of which I imagine there are plenty!
Sam.
