Honduras trip

Hi fellows
leaving for a trial trip within Honduras the middle of January and made a blog with the planned road to take with my klr650
If anyone can give me any feedback over biker friendly hotels/places or not to go places, let me know.
The bike has not yet plates and is purchased in Honduras, when I have plates, I will be heading south!!

visit the blog @ Central America on 1 or 2 Wheels

Can you do a survey of corrupt police while you are there please ? :-)

Especially why they target some people and not others.

It is not all that bad!!

Bruce

Had no problems, read my last blog " page 13" Honduras on 1 or 2 Wheels

Realized a couple of times, we were stopped less by officials then cars and the couple of times we were stopped, it was only general questions , they asked us once or twice for papers. Never bribes were necessary or was asked for, even thou you hear all the horror stories from other bikers, if they enter Honduras. Another good thing is, you do not have to pay toll in Honduras, but then there are only a handful places where there is toll.

Look thrrough the old posts here. Honduras border from the north on the pan am was my worst.
Keep your documents in site at all times. Might be a good idea to get a reflective road triangle before you go also.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
