Hi Cristel
Post your request to the Buenos Aires community. Some friends of mine there who will get your message own a bike shop and can very likely help.
Good Luck.

don't laugh, but in brasil when my r100gs battery broke, i ended up replacing it with a 12v 19amp battery for a 750cc kawasaki jetski!! (my original was 12v 25amp)
as long as the physical dimensions are ok and it is 12v it will do. the closer or higher the ampage the better, of course.
if all else fails, buy a car 12v battery (second-hand)and carry it on the seat behind you.
good luck

Hi Christel:
We are the friends of Mick in Buenos Aires. We have a little shop of parts accessories and service. The battery that you need is an YB18L-A.We doesn’t have this battery at the moment in the shop but next week we can get it. Put in contact with us to make the arrangement to send the battery to you. Our e-mail is in the profile.
Hope we can help you
Regards
Javier & Sandra.

Hallo Christel,

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
