Mechanic in Trujillo or Arequipa?

I need to change my fork seals, leaking oil.

We are currently in Trujillo where I found a Mechanic who wanted to poke at my seal with a screw driver and told me it would take 2 hours to do 1 seal!!!
All that did not fill me with much confidence! Cn someone recommend a good mechanic in Trujillo or Arequipa? We want to avoid Lima really if possible!
Thanks,

Hi,
If that fails, Cusco doesn`t have great mechanics (not that I trust anyway)although there is a Honda dealer there. They may do a good job but I didn`t particularly like them and the kid who did a tire change only inflated my tire to 15psi.
If you can make La Paz there is a very good dealer here.
good luck digging

Mechanic

Hi there, I am from Lima, if you come to Lima you can go to a very trustfull mechanic. He is an oficial Honda service. His name is Carlos Perea Chavez and his address is Manuel Segura 667-669, Lince - Lima - Peru. His celphone is 99965411. Something curious... he is a Harley Davidson rider, hoho.
You can check his address on a map on Planos de Lima
Good Luck!!!

thanks

thanks guys !
With Bob giving me a contact name in Arequipa I will get there. I did not want to stop in Lima, big capital cities are just too stressful to cross, and stay!

We are now in Nazca and hope to get sorted in Arequipa. If this fails, La Paz will be the next step, early next month. We can keep going although I need to sort out my fork seals before the Salar and also rebuild the support mount of my panniers, one more drop of the bike and they will desintegrate!!!

Big J, is that a BMW dealer you´re talking about in La Paz?

Cheers,

Maria
