Near Santiago, Chile?
I'm looking for someone to stay at my cabin overlooking the Pacific for a few days. I've got dogs that need feeding/walking while I go to Santiago to see the dreaded dentist. This Friday/Saturday! But there will be repeat trips so there will be other opportunities coming up! Any takers? I'm 178 km north of Santiago.

We don't know if we will be heading up Ruta 5 or the popping over to the Argentinian side as we head north, so may even come and dog site in Nov :-)
I'll have to get Los Mutts, the dogs in South America fascinated me. We kept collecting them for the odd day. They would latch on and follow us. I miss "Blackie", a Labrador who came to the beach with us for the day in La Serena.
Do you have space for a tent ?

BruceP, dog sitters get to stay in the room with the view. :-)
November is great too. Wow, that's just around the corner!
Yes, they say cats are manipulative, but it's dogs who have manipulation down as a fine art form!!!
Email me at LC at LorraineChittock dot com for directions/GPS.

JMoney, it's more of a fancy shack with an incredible view. ;-) If you don't care for the dog-sitting idea, travelers with a penchant for gardening or DIY are also welcome! Plenty of projects to help with if you need a break from the road.

I guess me and my girlfriend will be in that area in about two weeks if you're still interested. We love dogs and great views :P
So much so that my girlfriend keeps trying to convince me we can travel with a dog.
Cheers!

If you get no other offers I will oblige. I will be in Chile Thursday. Whether I head south from Los Libertados, or north is entirely up to you. Just let me know ASAP.
Yes I have done dog sitting for my friends in UK, Qatar, etc. so know how to feed, water, and walk them.

Bumping this one up the list again because I'm once again looking for dog lovers to feed the mutts in the coming weeks.
Also, free camping available for the Dakar!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
