Yup, easy by that route. Read the map and do what's obvious.

I heard about the Interoceanic Highway a while back and would like to get a road report from someone that has done it coast to coast. If speed is your need, I would think this would be the road to take.
Happy trails!

This is, "de facto", the standard route. If you have plans to ride on Summer is probably to arrive faster on Manaus, but usually, at this time of the year the boats in the Amazon River between Manaus and Belem are slower. Could easily take a whole week traveling by boat to arrive on Belem.
To check the the roads in Brazil you can use the Guia 4 Rodas. 4 Rodas have the most updated road guide in Brazil, but they only have in portuguese. The route between Belem do Pará and Porto Seguro have 2656 kms, on fairly well maintained asphalt roads according to the Guia 4 Rodas.

They finished this new road last year. 100% brand new asphalt and 207 bridges between Rio Branco (Acre State) and Puno (Peru), but the road between Brasilia and Rio Branco have some problems.
If someone is interested, can watch this Peruvian tv show about the road construction at YouTube - Carretera Interoceanica - Parte 1 but the whole video is in Spanish

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
