Sirrea Nevada , and generally all Tayrona natural park is safe for all kind of Tourists. 
Exactly as Samson66 said, Minca is a not so far place where you can visit and know a little bit more about coffee culture.
If you are more interested in Old native cultures you can do the trekking tour to Pueblo perdido it takes like 6 days but that one is highly recommended to do with a tour guide that can be found in Taganga o Santa Marta.
