Lyncargo quoted me air shipping from Bogota to Miami for $875. You could probably get it a little cheaper if you haggle a bit. I was left with the impression that there was some wiggle room, going to Miami and in fact another rider was just quoted $700, so YMMV.

Also if you use an agent like Gaston, maybe he could find something even cheaper as the shippers seems that they like to work with a fluent Spanish speaking agent rather than a private individual with a foreign accent. But Gaston is from Chile I think, so maybe he speaks Chileno, jajaja!

Slightly off topic but...

That's half the price of Bogota - Panama now.

Three guys in Casa Blanca Hostel here in Cali got quoted U$1500 Bogota- Panama today plus another U$300 if they want to fly from Cali.

Even Mike (Kaiserkyll) was shocked, it was only U$950 two weeks ago...

Needless to say the guys are heading to Cartagena to find a boat!

Adam, 5 days ago, I just paid $650 at Girag, Bogota to Panama. so if you want to go to Panama from Bogota, Girag is the best deal for sure but i dont have to spend the 300 bucks to fly myself since i can do that for free.

Girag is about $960 going from Panama to Bogota, and $650 going Bogota, Panama.

Lyncargo however is by far the best option if air shipping from Bogota to Miami at $700 to $875.

these are all recent prices within the last week.

Great to hear from you mate, safe travels.

After Mike at Casablanca findings , we tried to get a carg o from Cali to Panama. Copa is not doing that route right now and any other was found from Cali.
The option is from Bogota by air or Cartagena by ship.

We are helping here in Miami to anyone coming or going through. From Bogota, Medellin, Centurion air cargo is the right one to Miami and from Barranquilla we use Tampa cargo, which require crating at around $220 a piece.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
