Shipping from Colombia to the US ?
Hi All - I am wanting to end the full circle by ending in Colombia. Any chance you may know what the costs are of sending the bike back to the States from Colombia?
Any help is much appreciated!

Try Girag, see if they can help. The Colombia side of the outfit is *far* more professional than the Panama side.
Try Marlio, the warehouse manager, he speaks English and is helpful.

Or, try DHL, we met two Canadians in Panama City who flew their bikes to Miami with DHL for 1400 or 1500USD (as a guide price fr you).

I shipped my bike back from Colombia in January 2010. I obtained this contact from other Hubbers. It turned out well for me. The cost was reasonable, however, I can't remember the price and they do change. The business was Lyncargo. I specifically dealt with Veronica Oviedo (Lyncargo). At that time, her business numbers were: email: veronicam@lyncargo.com : phone number: (311) 223-7841; website: [url=http://www.lyncargo.com]LYNCARGO Una soluci

For some reason, my complete post did not get entered. Also, it would not let me edit. Veronica provides you a work sheet on bike preparation and payment methods. Payment, I believe, was tendered to Centurion Cargo in Miami. Before release of the bike, you will obtain a release from US Customs. It is within 1-2 miles of the Centurion office. The process went smooth for us. I can provide greater detail, if you are interested, by PM. Hope this helps. Again, her email, which didn't appear to come out correctly, is veronicam@lynncargo.com.

Cali to miami was about $1400 for bike. Bogata to Miami will be cheaper. Panama city to Bogata was about $ 900 going down

I'd be surprised if Bogota to Miami was cheaper than Cali.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
