Vehicle shipping UK to Argentina

Having just shipped our Land Rover to and from Southern Africa for the summer we are now thinking of heading for South America in 2008 (Argentina). Does anyone have any experience of shipping to South America from the UK either Ro-Ro or container. Names of shipping lines, agents et al would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ian

James Cargo Services IATA, AATA, IPATA and DEFRA approved Cargo Agent are very good for bikes. Don´t know how they are with four wheels, but they´d be a worthwhiole place to start.

Grimaldi Lines - Home
They have RoRo from Tilbury to Buenos Aires.

If you want to go on the same ship , which I recommend, makes life a lot easier as the car is seen as ´handluggage´ when you arrive in Argentina. Paperwork takes only some minutes there (customs and immigration come on board ) at zero costs.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
