17" tire in Abuja
In case someone is desperate...
There is a well used 17/150 Conti TKC 80 at the Sheraton in Abuja. There is still some center tread left, so if someone was desperate it would be good for another couple of km...
When you go behind the Sheraton towards the camping area you pass a satellite dish surrounded by barbed wire. Right behind the dish, up the little hill is a pile of old troughs or something. Right behind them is the tire.
Enjoy and please reply to this post if you use take so people know.

Ha ha, I threw my old 21' Mitas on the big pile right behind the camping area back in July. Might still be there. It's got a little tread left.

What the heck are you riding that has a 21 foot tire?!?!
Sounds like we should start some kind of geo-caching thing for all the gear people have stashed around the world. You know, you can take what's there, but you have to leave something else behind...

Another update on the Sheraton tyre stash: the 17" rear and the 21" front are both still in stock and available for anyone in need.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
