A free bed in Cape Town
Greetings
With many thousands of African miles behind me I decided to return some of the generosity I have received from my fellow Africans by offering a room in my home to any bike travellers who are fortunate enough to find themselves in Cape Town for a couple of days:
I have space in one room for up to 2 people, also safe bike parking.
Email me via Horizons.
Jim

Hi Bruce,
Ive seen couchsurfing.com, its a great idea.. I just figure horizons narrows the potential guests down to like minded folk... Fewer serial killers and more real travellers....
Hey hows about you all follow my lead and we establish a global bike travelling accomodation network? Even if you live in America somebody may actually want to visit!
PS I guess I may even consider Landrover travellers, but only in extreme cases... (in case facetiousness is lost on anyone- Im just kidding).
Jim

We found no problem using it while in the US, people were keen on hosting bikers. The best bet is to form a bike group on CS and utilise that.
No point in re-inventing the wheel :-)

Hey Gary!
Nice to hear from you man! Ja life goes on in Cape Town, working like a slave and looking ever more often to the horizon... I dont think Africa again though, at least not for a while, I need to leave Africa for a while until I miss her again. Maybe S America or um whats that other continent called again... the one with India....
All the best mate!!
Jim

New to Horizons Unlimited?
New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
