Burkina Faso/Mali info needed
Afternoon guys and girls,
I will shortly (3 weeks) be leaving for BF to help out on the MAPA Project: MAPA Project our leg starts in BF then Mali - Senegal - Gambia
were going to get our BF visa from this guy: Honorary Consul of Burkina Faso - Issuing visas in the UK as we assume you need them prior to arrival. Is this the best place to do it?
Were a bit stumped for Mali as I have looked around there does not seem to be anything recent on this. Our plan was to pick this up in Ougadou when we land. prices seen seem to vary widely. what can i expect from the Mali embassy on the ground?
Gambia and Senegal are fine.
Dont think there is anything else right now, IDP and jabs sorted. I will post pics on our return
any other info/tips most appreciated on these countries as I have not travelled in Africa before! (unless you count Morocco).
cheers,
G

Hello,
Seeing this late. You should be on ground by now.
My 10 naira worth;
When you need stuff while in any country, ask for it. Reading online that something is impossible in so and so place does not necessarily make it so.
Think about the people you ask questions, most answers reflect just what the people you ask know rather than what is available and remember a lot of people aim to please rather than direct you to a better source. (I know, its basic info but you will be surprised at the way people turned answers into gospel).

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
