Castle consuming competition
Anyone fancy some sport here in South Africa over the festive period? I'm presently in the 'Away with the Fairies' BP (no sexist comments please) at a little town called Hogsback and drifting slowly towards Cape Town. Ride safe.

Castle Comp
Great, I'm in the Paradise BP in Oudtshoorn at the moment training hard also. Heading for the coast in a couple of days then keeping the big loch on the left 'til I get to the flat hill. Ride safe.

Castle consuming competition, now this sounds interesting. Let me know when you are in Cape Town, I could show you where to find good cold ones. Ride safe.

Hi, hope to check into the 'Cape Town Backpackers' on the 23rd Dec for about 10 days. Presently in George and have switched training tactics to Windhoek Draught, hope I won't fail a drugs test. Ride safe.

AAhh. What memories, I once was a Castle consuming Champion of note in the Eastern Cape in the 70's and 80's. Now it is too cold in Canada for such fun.
Stay thirsty, very thirsty. chug

Must make a plan to meet for some drinks once you arrive.
At the moment there are many traffic cops as we call them on the roads, checking for all manner of things from drivers licence to child maintenance defaulters at road blocks. Also on that route watch for the speeding cameras, there are many. But back to the topic ... there are many good places to enoy fine s in Cape Town, see you soon?

I've been reading the title of this thread as "Cattle consuming competition," which sounded a bit gory (though not outside the realm of possibility in South Africa).
I'm really just chiming in to say that my money's on Maja. Side bets, anyone?
Ride safe Mike!

Maja seems like you are the favourite for the gold. Beer drinking is a national sport here, so you will have some competition
While practicing dont forget to try a couple of "black label's". Anyone else want to join?

Presently involved in paddling in both the Indian and Atlantic oceans at the same time and negotiating with the Napier micro brewery for sponsorship. Have moved my training camp to the "Cape Agluhas backpackers" in Struisbaai for a breath of fresh warm air. Hi Mark nice to see that your still around, want to borrow a flat in Scotland, bring your own heating oil. Ride safe,

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
