Hot shower in Dakar...
I've parked my wheels in downtown Dakar until the end of March. My appartment has a great shower and internet but only one bed (mine) + hard floor so if anyone is passing this way and wants to drop in, give me a shout.
Rick

Hi Rick,
thank you for your invitation!!
It`s great, to offer unknown people a place to sleep!!
We will start to cross Africa in August, so we are a little bit too late to visit you in Dakar :-(
See you somewhere on the road!!

Hi !!!!! That's great ! /
I am fliying to Gambia -where I have my car , to resume my Madrid->Capetown trip) ,
making a two days' stop-over in Dakar (to get Mali visa ,and find cheapo transport to Gambia etc) ....
It would be great to know someone in Dakar /have somewhere to stay ,to ease the "civilization shock" of landing in Dakar late night and looking for a hotel with all my things / money , etc..
I flight the 11th of March ... FYI
Thanks a lot
Javier.

The guy I was supposed to be travelling with is now also in Dakar. He broke his leg in Guinea and was shipped to Dakar for treatment. He will be recovering here for the next 3 months and has a place with a spare room which he is planning to rent cheaply to travellers who are passing through. Should work out better and much cheaper than a hotel. Dakar is VERY pricey.
Personally, I will now only be here until the 19th March.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
