Nigerian Visas ????
Hiya all,
I am currently in Mauritania and trying to decide my best route through west africa, after reading the books it sounds like getting a visa for nigeria is impossible unless you apply from your own country, does anyone have any views, news on the validity of this and if its not, where I can get a hold of a visa, how much it will cost and how long it is likely to take...
cheers

Hello,
Got mine in Bamako - Mali without too many hassles for about 17.000CFA but depends much on your nationality (doesnt help if you are from UK - $$$).... Heard of Others getting some in Togo. But have a look in LP to be on the safe side.

We got ours in Accra, Ghana for 55 US$ each. It only took half a day. If you do a search, you'll probably find lots of previous posts about Nigerian visas.

Like Erik I got mine in Accra without any problems, took about a day or so. Also got the Ethiopian visa in Accra without a problem, I think it took 3 days. Don't try to get the Nigerian visa in Cotonou, it is very difficult from there and you may have to ride back to Accra to get it.
Have fun and safe travels,\

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
